[Coin World] According to reports, a certain trading platform has completed an acquisition of the crypto assets derivatives exchange Deribit for $2.9 billion in cash and stock. After the merger, the trading platform leads the global crypto assets derivatives market in terms of open contracts and options volume. Deribit's annual trading volume for 2024 is expected to reach $1.185 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 95%. Founders John Jansen and Marius Jansen have left the company.
